There's this whole, "Sierra Nevada Mountain Range" thing that runs the length of the state. Plenty of good skiing in Northern California by Lake Tahoe.

Plenty of snow in CA. We visited Sequoia NP and Kings Canyon NP about 12 years ago in late May-early June. Many of the roads on the Sierra Nevadas were still snowed shut.

That is a nice mountain. I love taking the snowcat up past the last lift. Even if it's later in the day, it's easy to find fresh powder up there.
